The Boys and Girls Foundation owns a twenty-four hour care facility on Steele Canyon Road in Rancho San Diego. It currently leases the property to Universal Health Services, an organization that cares for emotionally disturbed and abused children. In addition, we annually support Lions Camp Jack, a three-week summer camp for abused, neglected and at-risk children who are identified by the San Diego Probation Department, schools and law enforcement. Annually we support dozens of other programs and efforts targeting children in need.
Since formed, the Boys and Girls Foundation has provided grants in excess of $1,000,000. These funds have gone to very diverse projects such as those associated with juvenile court system, county probation, the county domestic court system, private camps, educational and athletic programs.
No, there are several Boys and Girls Clubs in the County. Boys and Girls Foundation has provided grants to some of the clubs in the past but we are not affiliated.

Generally, we do not fund capital expenditures. We would rather our grant funds go directly to programs which benefit at-risk youth.
We do not generally fund information technology.
Boys and Girls Foundation requires each grant recipient to provide us with 6 month and 1 year progress reports.
We do not have a specific target age range. We provide grants to organizations that have programs, which benefit at-risk youth throughout the County.
From time to time we do fund projects that need volunteers as well as our own fundraisers which can always use some extra help. We will post volunteer requests from time to time. Please check back.
The Boys and Girls Foundation was founded by the Lions Club of San Diego.
